Unknow Threat by Lynn Blackburn is a very fast paced book from the beginning. It had me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen. This story revolves around agents from the FBI and the Secret service. Faith Malone has been put on a very large task that involved Luke Powell and his fellow agents. Will Faith and Luke be able to work together or feelings get in their way? Will they be able to find out the killer and who has put a target on the Raleigh office? This book left the hairs on my arms standing as I was in suspense waiting to find out what would happen next. This is a wonderful romantic suspense novel and I recommend it to all.

Author Cynthia Ruchti has written a heart quenching novel about grieve. This book took me a bit to read because it was honestly to sad for me at the beginning. The main character Mara is doing her best to hold everything together but it seems like everything is falling apart for her. This book concentrates on heavy issues such as substance abuse, suicide and miscarriages. So please be aware before reading. Mara does try to lighten the situation up with sarcasm and this book does over a one of a kind friendship. It gets real and honest. This is not a book I would pick up on a whim or if I were just looking for a quick and light read as it gets very deep. It does show us how God can get us through these difficult times.
This was my first time reading this author and I may try and check out more of her books but sad books are not usually my go to. Erin Bartels has written a story of love, hope and adventure. This book takes us between two completly different sisters. Sisters that haven't seen each other in a decade. Loosing their parents in a car accident was difficult and they both mourned in their own ways. Melanie finally convinces her sister Olivia to go on a hiking trip together. Olivia only agrees if she can be in charge of where the trip will take place. Olivia is very detailed oriented and Melanie is more of a go with the flow person and both of them together will experience things they aren't prepared for. Thankfully, they encountered a stranger named Josh that helps them out during their trip but he disappears towards the end of the book and I don't feel that we get the proper closure we need with him. This journey makes the girls talk about their grief, their lives and what they have been missing. They even talk about the person who caused the accident but will Olivia ever forgive him? This is a great story about relationships and the different dynamics, it is a story that makes you think deeper and makes you wonder about what their motives really are. Overall, this is a great read and kept me intriqued.
The Escape by Lisa Harris is the First book in the series of U.S Marshalls, this is the information about the book. US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are thrust into a high-profile case when they are called on to transport two prisoners across the country on a private plane. But when the plane experiences engine trouble en route from the Pacific Northwest to Colorado, the pilots crash-land the aircraft deep in the heart of the sprawling Salmon-Challis National Forest.
When Madison and Jonas regain consciousness, they find both pilots and one prisoner dead--and one fugitive on the run. They'll have to negotiate the rugged and remote backcountry through Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado while tracking a murderer who is desperate to disappear--and will do anything to stop them. This high-octane game of cat-and-mouse from bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris will have your heart pumping as you try to catch a fugitive with nothing to lose. Review: This book is a high speed chase that will get your head spinning and make you never want to put it down. From the beginning page to the last page this book kept me interested and I stayed up way too late a couple nights reading this. You want to find out if The U.S Marshalls can transport the fugitives but what happens if if their planes crashes and the fugitives get loose. Will the U.S Marshalls be able to kept themselves safe while also keeping the community safe? Will they be able to catch the criminals and stop more criminal activity from happening? I for one can't wait to read more books in this series and I suspect that Harris will keep us on our toes with those as well. Now, what are you waiting for get out there and get your own copy. I am a huge reader and Christian suspense has really gotten me intriqued lately. I really enjoy that this book took off right from the beginning and never seemed to slow down. The heroine of the book Eve Reilly, is a radio host and is very passionate about her beliefs. However, there are many other people that want to stop Eve and end her and her career. She goes through dangerous situations, and meets some interesting characters along the way.
This book is full of all the great things a love interest, bad guys and family. The ending really surprised me and I hope it surprised you all too. I was given the chance to review this great book and all comments are my own.
The price of Valor is a novel about secrets, action, and romance all thrown into one. A relationship that once was has been thrown apart over the years and Signe Kincaid is in danger. Former Navy seal Hamilton Jones, also her former partner has been sent to rescue her. Will he save her for the impending trail of doom that seems to follow her, or will it lead to their demise? I guess you will need to check this awesome book out yourself to find out. This was my first novel of Susan Warren's to read, and it did not disappoint. I however, do wish that I had read the previous two book so it would give me a better grasp of some of the other characters maybe. This story is one that will have you wishing for happy endings. There was so much action, mystery and some romance that the story was never dull and it always kept me interested. I can't wait to see if there will be more books in this series. It truly is amazing that this shows us that Love can always endure. This year, I have made it my resolution to read more of a variety of books. Nine is a suspenseful thriller that is full of action. I am so glad I received a copy of this to read because I may have passed it by because it is out of my norm.
This book kept my attention and I loved the use of various narrators. I also really liked that the characters were well thoughout and developed. I wanted to find out as much as possible about the character of Nine or Lucy. I needed to know what was haunting Zoe's past and why she wanted to help Lucy so much and I needed to know whether or not Seeley was a good guy or a villian. Dekker, led me down this road that answered many of my questions and I almost wish I could see Nine in action as she was indeed a weapon but more than that she was a person with a heart. I like how the book felt like it never slowed down, from the first page to the last page, it was filled with action. I could imagine myself in the midst of the action seeing what they see and feeling what they feel. I felt sorrow and happiness for the characters. This is a great book to read especially when you want to know what it is like to break away from the rules or even disregard them. It was a suspenseful thriller. I recently received a copy of this book in the mail. This was my first time ever reading a Jane Kirkpatrick book. While this book was not in my top 5, it was still pretty good. I will check out more of her novels in the future.
This was a very interesting historical fiction book. I like how we were able to see the struggles that women had to endure many years ago and how hard women, such as Jenny had to work to change that. I liked that she was very persistent and refused to give up on her cause. I do however feel like she didn't get to spend as much time raising some of her children because she was more worried about the cause or making sure that things went her way. She even went 10 months without seeing her children at times. I can't imagine ever doing this as my child is of up most importance to me. I feel like I learned a lot but that the characters didn't connect with me. I do like how this was based upon the life of Abigail Duniway. I am glad that I read it and was able to learn more about the past. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review Sometimes, the days drags on. We are stuck in this rut, this everyday routine or our kids are throwing a fit again. Mama, let me tell you it will be okay, before you know it these days will be gone and then suddenly the years have disappeared.
Take a moment for you. Take a bath, or a walk, get a coffee with a friend. Sometimes, even these small things are hard. Our kids need us, our significant others need us, we still want to have a social life, a job and so much more. Trust me, even if it is just singing to your favorite song at the top of your lungs, you are going to feel better. We cannot pour out of empty cups. Raelynn will be 4 in August. She has never been baby-sat by any one, other than a few minutes in a waiting room by my sister and brother- in law and for a hour when she was a couple months old. However, I am thankful that I have very special people in my life who would watch her if needed. So, I know what it is like to be with your child all the time. I find time after my daughter goes to bed at 8 pm. I take time to listen to a podcast, read the Bible or a book. I get myself mentally ready for the next day. I need these moments to think about what happened during the day. I am often hard on myself, and wonder if I gave her enough. I try, I really do and that is all I can do. So if you are having a hard day, or night, or few months, just know it will get better. Our little ones don't stay little long, so cherish when they do smile at you and tell you that you are their best friend. Give yourself a pat on the back, because being a mom is hard. You got this! Towards the fall I started seeing the cutest advertisements for a movie, that movie was The Star. It premiered in theaters in November. I haven't yet seen this movie but I am looking forward to it, as a mom these are the kind of movies, I want to share with my 3 year old. I like that it tells us about the Birth of Christ and the reason we really celebrate Christmas. What makes it even more interesting is that it is done from the perspectives of the animals. This is a great family movie and there is no better time than now to purchase it for a fun filled family night.
